Goal - to push a crate around the room and collect various items as I request them. (Gross motor - to help strength)
Outcome - I set this activity up as a toy shop rather than a supermarket to make it more fun for Ashton. To increase Ashton's participation I decided we would be characters going shopping, Ashton was Godzilla and I was Mothra. Ashton seemed to enjoy this element and he followed my instructions to gather up the various items. Sometimes Ashton would pick up the shipping cart instead of pushing it along as intended for the gross motor aspect of the activity.
15/5/20
15/05/20 Video 2 - Following instructions
Goal - to follow simple instructions for example clap hands, touch nose.
Outcome - Ashton wanted to be Godzilla again for this activity and at first he was participating. Half way through he lost interest. I also tried giving them the instructions using his name "Ashton" and when I did this he wouldn't do the action I requested.

Goal - to imitate single words or phrases and use those imitated words or phrases spontaneously.
Outcome - I decided to do bubble play for this activity as it has an element of requesting (more bubbles please Chantelle). Ashton needed to ask for more bubbles in order for me to blow them. I gave Ashton the appropriate cue and he was able to imitate it each time. Ashton needed prompting most times (when the cue wasn’t given) in order to request that I blow the bubbles.

Goal - to relinquish a highly motivating toy when I put my hands out/when I say my turn.
Outcome - Ashton has achieved this goal. The last few times I have done this Ashton has consistently shared with me. Today he was playing with his walking robot and every time I requested "my turn" he would relinquish the toy. A couple of times he would fix the toy before passing it over to me. He also had a cheeky moment at the end where he was laughing and didn't pass the toy over straight away but I think that was because he was joking around with me.
22/5/20
22/05/20 Video 2 - Finish the Song
Goal - to finish a common song that is started by someone else.
Outcome - Ashton experienced success with this activity today. He doesn't always want to participate when I do this lesson but today I tried to make it fun by adding in a Pokémon role play. We pretended to be singing Pokémon and after each song we would win a Poké ball. I would pretend to throw a ball to Ashton and he would than open it to reveal a Pokémon. This gave him motivation to complete the songs I was singing. Today we sang: Baby Shark, Johnny Johnny and Daddy Finger.
22/05/20 Video 3 - Throwing a ball
Goal - to throw and catch a ball (improve gross motor skills).
Outcome - Ashton needs to continue practising throwing and catching from a distance. He is able to throw and catch when he stands closer to me so I will continue to practice with Ashton. 23/05/20 Video 3 - Throwing a ball
Goal - to throw and catch a ball (improve gross motor skills).
Outcome - Ashton's throwing technique is good, however, he needs to continue working on his catching (from a distance) skills. Ashton was a little cheeky during this activity and at times he would get distracted. 24/5/20 (this was the 17/5/20)
video one – SP one lesson for scribbling – colouring.
Goal – to colour – scribble for two minutes.
Outcome – Ashton wanted to draw a volcano exploding today he said he wanted me to draw it but I tried encouraging Ashton to draw himself Ashton did a great job and drew the magma and the smoke coming out of the volcano. Ashton had also asked to draw Godzilla I drew the body and Ashton added the eyes and the spikes along his back.
Ashton drawing this is a true test of endurance for all of us Ashton would not draw he disliked everything about it. Through persistence and determination on our part he finally now will draw which will give him skills he needs as he develops. These pens are wide but they are actually little animals when the tops are on and I bought them to encourage Ashton to draw. Next step is to get Ashton to engage with us as he draws. Language development is a goal. I think he was so busy his brain was too occupied to talk and engage as well as draw.
He also needed to have time to be able to put his own impressions on the drawing and just enjoy drawing without having to think too much. We need to remember that for next time.
25/05/20
Video 1 - phonics island including a change of routine
Goal - to see how Ashton would cope with completing an activity in the playroom with his sisters playing around him rather than in his therapy room with no distractions.

27/05/20
Video 1 - Windmakers
Goal - to improve fine motor strength, eye-hand co-ordination, visual attention and tracking.
Outcome - Ashton was fairly happy to participate in this activity. He needed hand over hand help to get the windmaker to work but I believe with practise he will work it out. For this first attempt I was mainly aiming for Ashton to be able to operate the windmaker. Once he has that down pat we can create many play scenarios.
27/05/20
Video 2 - Yellow Stepper
Goal - to improve strength and balance.
Outcome - Ashton is still very reluctant to let go of my hand when using the yellow stepper. We will continue to practise until Ashton feels confident in letting go. I also feel this is a good activity for his leg strength and it's beneficial to continue
28/05/20
Video 1 - Windmakers
Goal - to improve fine motor strength, eye-hand co-ordination, visual attention and tracking.
Outcome - Ashton enjoys the Pokémon game that we have been playing with this activity. He has been requesting that I give him hand over hand help to operate the windmaker. I've tried modelling what he needs to do, hopefully if I continue this Ashton will be able to imitate the squeezing motion. Ashton shows that he has an understanding of where he needs to hold the windmaker in relation to the pom poms.
Once Ashton gets the hang of it we can have lots of fun playing many games, for example we could use the windmakers to pretend there is a storm coming and the dinosaurs need to take shelter.
28/05/20
Video 2 - Number Recognition/ Star Program 1 preacdemic concepts lesson 4 (scribbling/drawing)

He was able to count the bananas and the flies as well as place the correct amount of pom poms for each. Ashton used his texta to successfully trace a line and follow the path.
Ashton held his texta correctly and was able to colour in for 10+ seconds.
28/05/20
Video 3 - Bubble play/ Star Program 1 expressive language lesson 2 (initial requesting)
Goal - to imitate single words or phrases and use those imitated words or phrases spontaneously.
Outcome - I used bubbles for this activity and I wanted Ashton to request more by saying the phrase, "more bubbles please Chantelle" (or something similar). Initially I had to keep providing cues for Ashton to imitate the phrase, however, in the end Ashton was able to spontaneously say the appropriate phrase several times.
During this activity we pretended the bubbles were Poké balls. Half way through the play Ashton had an idea to grab the bubble wand and use it as a sword to "defeat" the bubbles. Each time Ashton wanted the bubble wand he was able to request for it. This allowed for a more interactive experience that was initiated by Ashton.

Video 1 - Matching Identical Objects
Goal - to independently match two identical objects from an array of at least three.
Outcome - Ashton was more interested with his own agenda during this activity. I persisted (maybe a little too much) but he was more interested in playing with the sea creatures. Next time I will model the activity a few times and move through it quicker.
29/05/20
Video 2 - Monkey Toes
Goal - to improve balance and motor planning skills (by using feet/toes to pick up pom poms and put them in a basket).
Outcome - This activity required pom poms to be scattered on the floor so Ashton could use his feet/toes to pick them up and place in them basket. I decided to call the pom poms Poké balls to spark Ashton's interest in this activity. Ashton was able to successfully pick up the pom poms with his feet/toes and place them into the basket. He did this activity fairly quickly, next time I will scatter the pom poms further apart to create more of a challenge for Ashton.
29/05/20
Video 3 - Animal Match (Ashton initiated)
Goal - turn taking skills and ability to match animal tokens to the farm house.
Outcome - Ashton selected this game for us to play so I decided to practise some turn taking and matching skills. Ashton was successful in both areas, he allowed me to have turns and was able to successfully place the animals on the corresponding farm house picture.
